Vaccination for maids 

Encourage your MDW to have her vaccination for maids against COVID-19. By doing so, it can:

• Protect your MDW and your family, and keep the community safe.

• Significantly reduce chances of infection and minimise transmission.

• Help to prevent severe illness if infected.

• Enable us to resume more activities safely.

Explain to her that COVID-19 vaccines are suitable for persons with chronic conditions; allergic reactions to medication, food or insect bites; or have eczema or asthma. The side effects after vaccination for maids are mostly mild and will go away in a few days. If she feels unwell after receiving the vaccination for maids, do give her time to rest and avoid giving her strenuous work.

Share the information in their native languages with your MDW. Help your MDW register for vaccination for maids by submitting an online form at vaccine.gov.sg .

On the day of vaccination, remind your MDW to bring along her mobile phone with the SMS containing the appointment details or a printout of the SMS to facilitate registration. Your MDW will also need the TraceTogether App or token for entry into the vaccination centre.
